Diploma of Graphic Design

The Graphic Design Technology Specialist program at Vancouver Career College will teach you to master a wide range of digital imaging software and prepare you to become a digital media software specialist rather than a graphic designer. You will build a unique skillset encompassing industry standard software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks and more. You’ll also learn about essential web design software, XHTML, CSS, Premier Pro and After Effects. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to compete for a wide range of design software specialist positions.

Diploma of Network and Database Administrator

The Network and Database Administrator program will train you to administer and support database users on networked computer systems and prepare you for a career in this growing field. Based on industry certification requirements determined by Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco, Vancouver Carer College’s program will develop technical skills in network installation, maintenance and management as well as implementation, and operating computer services. In addition to developing a solid foundation in programming skills, you will participate in a work placement program to gain real-world experience.

Diploma of Network Systems Administrator

If you’re looking to enter the IT field, the Network Systems Administrator program at Vancouver Career College can help you get there. In this program, you’ll develop technical skills in network installation, maintenance and management as well as implementation, and operating computer services, preparing you to take on your new career as a network systems administrator.

In addition to developing a solid foundation in general IT skills, you’ll participate in a work placement program, giving you the hands-on experience you need to get out into the workforce and impress employers.

The program also prepares you to write several separate certification exams including Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

Diploma of Network Systems Engineer

Do you want to be at the leading edge of the information technology industry? Whether you’re pursuing a new career or upgrading your skills, Vancouver Career College’s Network Systems Engineer program will equip you with the skills you need to plan, implement, administer and secure computer networks and support the people who use them. In this program, you’ll learn to perform essential business tasks, use fundamental system commands for operating systems, and apply a structured process to problem solving. You will also study Cisco Networking, Microsoft Network and Network Security. Graduates can challenge several important certification exams relevant to IT careers, and compete for a range of positions, such as network administrator, network security specialist and technical support specialist. In addition to developing a solid foundation in networking skills, you’ll participate in a practicum placement that will give you the hands-on experience you need for a successful career.
