Exhibitions
The Art Gym at Marylhurst University has one of the foremost art exhibition programs in the Pacific Northwest. For more than 25 years, the gallery has brought high quality, challenging exhibitions to Marylhurst students and the greater community. Artists whose work is shown in The Art Gym are frequent guest lecturers, as are other members of the art community. Marylhurst students interact with these professionals, learning how ideas are developed and careers are made. In the final year of the BFA in Art program, students produce a cohesive body of finished artwork, which is exhibited in The Art Gym.
Faculty
Marylhurst art and interior design faculty are professional artists, designers and architects. Seminar-style classes – an average seven-to-one student-faculty ratio – provide an environment for ample student-teacher interaction and constructive feedback.
Accreditation
Marylhurst University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Marylhurst's BFA in Interior Design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
