Mr. Bingo (b. 1979) studied graphic design at university, before turning his focus onto illustrations. As an effort to create a source of income for his art, Mr. Bingo placed ads online and elsewhere for the Hate Mail project. For simply $5, customers can receive a personalized, one-of-a-kind piece offensive postcard art, conveniently delivered to your home address. Orders may also be placed for friends, family, or coworkers. Business has been so good that Mr. Bingo now only accepts limited orders to ensure the workload stays within the realm of possibility. His collection of postcard art project is now available in print. Hate Mail is now available from PenguinBooks publishers.
Having contributed illustrations and background art to television programs, magazines, and other outlets, Mr. Bingo’s work is gaining plenty of attention. One of his popular series of drawings includes portraits of celebrities identified only by their hairstyles. The point? Humor. For Mr. Bingo, art should be fun and funny, and often times insulting. His work has been featured in WIRED, Esquire, The New York Times, and GQ magazine.
