Montreal is a three-hour drive to the southeast of Quebec City. Considered Canada's culture-capital, Montreal is a global metropolis with a distinct European spirit. Art students will find themselves amidst historic sectors nuzzling chic modern architecture. Not only is Montreal an artist's haven in Canada, but it is also an exceptionally fashionable city. The city is especially known for its fringe and avant-garde.

Hull is located on the north bank of the Outaouais River across from downtown Ottawa. The city is popular with students in the local francophone institutes as well as schools in Ottawa. Art students studying in Hull are just 20 minutes away from Ottawa's National Art Gallery. Many students choose to combine their degrees with courses in Ottawa institutes.

Galleries are located in all of the major cities. Restaurants and cafes strongly encourage local artists to exhibit their work. Since Quebec takes equal pride in its up-and-coming artists as those who are well-established, art students will feel welcomed into a vibrant, local artistic community.
