Most of Ontario's population is located in the southeastern urban hub that runs between the Outaouais River and Lake Ontario. Toronto is a favorite metropolitan destination for students of fashion, industrial and commercial design, and media technologies. Art students pursuing degrees in Toronto will find countless artistic communities with which to become involved. There is a strong activist and grassroots presence in Toronto, with niche cafes, independent galleries, and studios engaging artists from all backgrounds throughout the year.
