INT306 Architectural Detailing
This course focuses on the exploration, design and technical development of custom detailing for interiors as applied to a past studio design project. Unique material research and application will be required with emphasis on economic and sustainable choices. Appropriate communication techniques will be used including conceptual sketches, specifications and working drawings.
INT127 Drawing for Interior Design II - Rendering
This course explores a variety of presentation techniques for interior design, including sketching, freehand drawing and color rendering processes through a variety of media. The development of drawing techniques utilizing colored markers and pencils including the representation of perspective, volume, scale, and space will be covered. Presentation concepts may include alternative approaches to layouts, boards, and materials used to convey design solutions.

In the Interior Design program, students will develop abilities in all aspects of the design of 3-D residential and commercial spaces. Students start with courses in drawing, perspective, proportion, color theory, basic design, and other fundamentals. INT 130 ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING
In this course students are introduced to basic drafting techniques, terminology, and symbology used in design, including use of equipment, lettering, and orthographic drawing. It also explores the use of freehand sketching and rendering techniques. This course is a prerequisite to all interior design studio and technical drawing courses.
INT 259 TEXTILES
Students explore the nature of man-made and natural fibers and their production, uses, and characteristics. Content includes discussion of yarn, fabrics, finishes, design methods, aesthetic application, and ordering specifications.
INT 168 INTERIOR SPACE
Students apply the principles of 3D design to the development of interior space. Content includes the use of basic ordering principles of space and spatial theories of organization and circulation. Students develop skill and judgment in arranging and defining three-dimensional space. They graphically present their ideas through conceptual sketching, model building, and production of axonometric and orthographic drawings.
INT 358 INTERIOR DETAILING
The study of materials and fabrication techniques involved in the design and installation of basic interior details for cabinetry, floor, ceiling, and walls is the focus of this course. Content includes how details are communicated in the documents package.
